CM Omar Says initiative will boost industrial growth in J&K, attract fresh investment”

Srinagar| Oct 17: In a major push to strengthen industrial infrastructure and accelerate investment in Jammu and Kashmir, the Government has approved the transfer of 671 kanals of land in Samba to the Industries and Commerce Department for the development of a state-of-the-art Plug and Play Industrial Park under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA).

The initiative aims to provide ready-to-use industrial infrastructure, reliable services and streamlined approvals, enabling enterprises to establish operations faster and with greater ease.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said the initiative would give a significant boost to industrial growth in Jammu and Kashmir by attracting fresh investment, strengthening local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and promoting entrepreneurship.

He said the development would support balanced regional growth and create new employment opportunities for the youth, while further strengthening Jammu and Kashmir’s industrial ecosystem.
