Srinagar, Oct 12: The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across Jammu and Kashmir on October 12, with light rain at isolated places and light snowfall over higher reaches, while light to moderate rain is likely at many places from October 13 to 15, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds.
According to the latest weather update of MeT Srinagar, October 16 is expected to remain generally dry, although light rain may occur at a few places.
An advisory has been issued, advising farmers to ensure the safe storage ofz harvested apples and paddy during October 13–15 in view of the expected weather conditions.
The advisory also warns of possible thunderstorms and gusty winds during the period, with light snowfall likely over important mountain passes and roads, including highways.
Travellers, transporters and the general public have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and take necessary precautions in view of the forecast.
