Anantnag | Oct,10:AnUdyamJagriti programme under Mission YUVA was organised for Ex-Servicemen of District Anantnag to sensitise them about the scheme and apprise them of the opportunities available for establishing sustainable self employment ventures.
The programme witnessed the participation of the Zila Sainik Welfare Officer (ZSWO), Srinagar, Lead District Manager (LDM), Anantnag, Employment Officer, Anantnag, Career Counselling Officer, SBDU/BHD Anantnag, and officials from the Employment Department along with Ex-Servicemen from district Anantnag.
The ZSWO, Srinagar appreciated the initiative and highlighted its relevance for the Ex-Servicemen community. He encouraged the participants to make effective use of the opportunities available under Mission YUVA and explore entrepreneurship as a viable avenue for sustainable livelihood and economic independence.
The District Employment Officer urged the youth, particularly ex-servicemen, to avail benefits under Mission YUVA and work towards becoming successful entrepreneurs in the future.
Earlier, the Career Counselling Officer highlighted the significance of the programme, emphasising that the special initiative under Mission YUVA aims to familiarise Ex-Servicemen with available entrepreneurial opportunities and facilitate their transition towards self employment and independent business ventures.
Subsequently, the BHD Lead, Anantnag delivered a detailed presentation on Mission YUVA covering the various parameters of the scheme, eligibility criteria, preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), application procedures, financial incentives and the essential documentation required for availing benefits under the initiative. The participants were also sensitised about the process of identifying viable business activities and preparing feasible project proposals.
The Lead District Manager, Anantnag, elaborated on the banking aspects of the scheme explaining the requisite bank formalities, documentation, financial planning and other procedures involved in the processing of loan applications. He also emphasised the importance of sound financial planning and proper documentation for the smooth processing of proposals by the concerned financial institutions.
The programme also provided an opportunity for participants to enhance their understanding of the scheme, clarify their queries and familiarise themselves with the institutional support available for pursuing entrepreneurial ventures.
The initiative reflects the commitment of Mission YUVA towards promoting entrepreneurship, encouraging self-employment and facilitating inclusive economic development by enabling Ex-Servicemen to explore viable business opportunities and contribute to the local economy.
