Shopian : A review meeting on the ongoing AgriStack data entry on creation of Farmer IDs was convened Wednesday , jointly by Altaf Ahmad Khan, District Mentor Shopian and Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian here in Shopian.

It was stressed upon the Tehsildars to ensure that the data entry of all the records on Agristack portal is completed within three days. So far, an entry of 96% of 163107 khasra numbers has been made. It was exhorted upon all the officers to ensure that due diligence is made in approving and verifying the data.

It was also desired that the schedules formulated by the Tehsildars in registration of farmers on Agristack portal need to be adhered to strictly and ensuring that maximum number of farmers are  registered so that the farmers are able to get the maximum benefits of the government sponsored schemes besides facilitating service delivery.

The officers were asked to maintain close coordination and submit regular progress updates, with emphasis on achieving the desired targets within the stipulated timeframe.

It was also decided that Lumberdars, Chowkidars and the influencial personalities shall be roped in to  sensitise the farmers in getting their Farmer IDs besides self registering on the portal.

Later, the District Mentor also visited the Farmer ID camps at Balpora and Keegam which are also established across the district.

The meeting was attended by ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, ACR, Shakoor Ahmad Dar, Tehsildars and other concerned Revenue officials.
