Experts from India and abroad discuss modeling, simulation & optimisation for efficient, sustainable energy technologies
Srinagar, : The International Conference on Modelling, Simulation and Optimization of Energy Systems (MSOES-2026) was held on October 5 and 6, organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar in collaboration with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar.
The event attracted a diverse group of researchers, academicians, and experts from various countries, including Dubai, the United States, Sri Lanka, Canada, and Malaysia, who participated both online and offline. The conference aimed to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and technological solutions focused on cleaner, more efficient, and sustainable energy systems. Key figures such as Prof. Anurag Mishra, Director of NIT Srinagar, emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary research and collaboration in energy engineering. The organizing committee, led by Dr. M. Hanief and supported by Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Rajendran, Dr. Sivaraj R., and Dr. Dharmendra Tripathi, highlighted the significance of mathematical modeling and optimization in addressing the complexities of modern energy systems. The event featured ten keynote addresses, 34 invited speakers, and 78 presentations, fostering a rich environment for young researchers to showcase their work and engage with experts. The conference concluded with discussions aimed at future collaborations, reinforcing its international character and the potential for ongoing research in sustainable energy technologies.
