Victim Passes Away at Hospital a Day Following Pedestrian Accident Near Ishber Chowk

Srinagar | October, 6: A 50-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday morning, a day after being struck by an e-rickshaw near Ishber Chowk in the Nishat area of Srinagar, officials said.
An official said that an e-rickshaw bearing registration number JK01BE-5707 hit the pedestrian on Monday evening. The injured woman was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment, where her condition remained critical throughout the night. She ultimately succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Shafiqa Bano (50), wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, a resident of Ishber Nishat. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further details are awaited.
