Srinagar, Oct 06: A 50-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries a day after she was struck by an e-rickshaw near Ishber Chowk in Nishat area of Srinagar, officials said.

 

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an e-rickshaw bearing registration number JK01BE-5707 hit the pedestrian near Ishber Chowk in Nishat on Monday evening.

 

He said that the woman was shifted to a hospital for treatment, where her condition remained critical during the night. However, she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday morning.

 

The deceased woman was identified as Shafiqa Bano (50), wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, a resident of Ishber Nishat.

 

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and further details are awaited.—(KNO)
