Kulgam : Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad AlamMonday chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall, Kulgam to review the implementation and progress of Mission YUVA.

The meeting was held in connection with the visit of the GDI Team to the district for an assessment of Mission YUVA. A detailed review was undertaken of beneficiary-wise progress, applications under process, loan sanctions, bank linkages, enterprise establishment and the overall implementation of Mission YUVA.

The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure effective handholding of beneficiaries, expeditious disposal of pending cases and stronger coordination among SBDUs, BHDs, banks, JKEDI and other implementing agencies so that eligible youth receive timely financial and institutional support.

Emphasizing an outcome-oriented approach, the DC stated that the success of Mission YUVA would be measured not merely by the number of applications processed or loans sanctioned, but by the actual establishment of viable enterprises, generation of sustainable livelihoods and creation of employment opportunities for local youth.

Tejal Sharma, Officer from the GDI Team made a brief presentation highlighting the implementation status, achievements, progress of beneficiaries and key areas requiring further intervention.

As part of the review, Mission YUVA beneficiaries representing different stages of the entrepreneurial journey including fresh applicants, entrepreneurs who have already commenced their enterprises, and beneficiaries whose loans have been sanctioned and enterprises are under establishment, interacted with the GDI Team and shared their experiences, progress and challenges.

The meeting was attended by the ADDC, Altaf Ahmad Khan and other officers including Assistant Director, DE&CC Kulgam, DNO, JKEDI, Lead Bank Manager, Kulgam, SBDU/BHD membrers and other concerned officials associated with the implementation of Mission YUVA.
