Guv hosts R-Day ‘At Home’

Jammu: Governor N. N. Vohra and the First Lady, Usha Vohra, hosted an ‘At Home’ at the lawns of the Raj Bhavan, here this afternoon, to celebrate the 69th Republic Day.
Mehbooba Mufti, Chief Minister; Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, Legislative Assembly; Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu, Minister for Finance; Naeem Akhtar, Minister for Public Works; Abdul Haq Khan Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj;Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, Minister for Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairsand Tribal Affairs; Abdul Ghani Kohli, Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry; Tassaduq Hussain Mufti, Minister for Tourism; Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister of State for Transport (Independent charge); Legislators; and leaders of various social and political organizations were among the prominent persons who attended the At Home.
The ‘At Home’ was also attended by Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed, Chief Justice of High Court; and Judges of High Court; B.B. Vyas, Chief Secretary; Dr. S.P. Vaid, DGP; Lt. Gen. Paramjit Singh, COS, HQ Northern Command; Maj. Gen MK Mago, GOC HQ 10 Inf Div; Maj. Gen. Sanjay Singh, GOC HQ 26 Inf. Div; Maj. Gen. Nilendra Kumar, ADG, NCC Directorate; AVM Sanjay Nimesh, HQ AOC J&K; and several other serving and retired senior Civil, Police, Central Armed Police, Army and Air Force officers, Vice Chancellors, Padma Awardees; Sports achievers; significant Fund Raisers for the welfare of ex-Servicemen and their families; ex-Servicemen; media persons and prominent citizens.
Governor and Usha Vohra interacted with the invitees and exchanged Republic Day greetings with them.
