Kangan : Police on Thursday inaugurated a Volleyball Tournament under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) at the Synthetic Turf, Kijpara, Sub-Division Kangan in Ganderbal district for promoting sports, youth engagement, and strengthening police-public relations.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by SDPO Kangan Rajeev Raina, in the presence of other senior Police Officers. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of local youth and sports enthusiasts. A total of 16 teams from across Sub-Division Kangan are participating in the tournament, providing young players with an opportunity to showcase their sporting talent while fostering teamwork, discipline, and a spirit of healthy competition. The inaugural match was played between Popup Chattergul and Sunshine Kangan, with Sunshine Kangan emerging victorious after an exciting contest.
