Srinagar, September 24: Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education and Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo, on Thursday informed the J&K Legislative Assembly that the Government is taking concrete steps to strengthen trauma care infrastructure across Jammu & Kashmir.
Speaking in the Assembly, the Minister said the administration is working to ensure better-equipped trauma centres and enhanced ambulance services, particularly in remote and far-flung areas, so that patients can receive timely emergency care closer to their homes.
Sakina Itoo further stated that the Government is actively working towards upgrading and making currently non-operational trauma centres functional, with the broader objective of creating a more responsive and accessible emergency healthcare network across the Union Territory.
The Minister reiterated the Government’s focus on strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving emergency medical services, especially for people living in remote and difficult-to-reach areas.
