Pulwama : Police on Monday said that it has seized heavy machinery involved in illegal mining and unauthorized mineral transportation during an enforcement drive in Pulwama.
In a statement issued here on Monday Police said that Officers from Police Post Newa seized one JCB (JK13K-1987) and one tipper (JK13K-9848). A case under FIR No. 196/2026 under Section 303(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 3 of the PPD Act has been registered at Police Station Pulwama, with further investigation underway.
