Baramulla : Police on Friday said that it has seized four vehicles for illegal mining in Baramulla.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that three tippers bearing registration nos JK04B-0681, JK05B-1376, and JK04A-7964 were found illegally loaded with sand and were seized under the relevant provisions of the MMRD Act in coordination with concerned authorities. Additionally, one tractor plying without valid documents was seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to curb illegal mineral transportation and traffic non-compliance.
