Ganderbal, Sept 18: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday expressed gratitude to local residents, elected representatives, the administration and security forces for their contribution towards the successful conduct of the annual Harmukh-Gangbal Yatra.
Addressing a gathering at Naranag in Ganderbal district after flagging off the yatra, Sinha specifically acknowledged the role of Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmad in facilitating the pilgrimage.
“As my predecessor speaker mentioned, Mian Altaf Sahib has played a significant role in facilitating the yatra,” Sinha said, expressing his gratitude to the MP and all others who supported the arrangements.
The Lieutenant Governor also thanked the local MLA and residents for their cooperation, saying that the successful conduct of such an event was made possible through the collective efforts of the people and authorities.
Sinha expressed his appreciation for officials of the administration and security forces, who, he said, worked diligently to ensure that the arrangements for the pilgrimage were carried out smoothly.
