Police Conduct Contingency Response Rehearsal at Railway Station Baramulla

September 13: Police in Baramulla conducted a Contingency Response Rehearsal at Railway Station Baramulla to assess and further strengthen the preparedness, coordination and response mechanism of various security and emergency response agencies during a simulated contingency situation.

The rehearsal was conducted under the supervision of SP Operations Baramulla and witnessed active participation of SOG Baramulla, CRPF units including 53 Bn with K9 Team and 2nd Bn, OCAPS Baramulla, 52 RR, BSF 31 Bn, RPF, GRPF, Police Station Baramulla, Police Post Delina, SDRF Baramulla, Fire & Emergency Services, GMC Baramulla, MI room DPL Baramulla, BSD/AST/PSK9, SDRF Baramulla along with other concerned personnel.

The exercise focused on inter-agency coordination, mobilisation, communication, response preparedness, evacuation and emergency management, besides assessing the effectiveness of the existing contingency response mechanism at the railway station.

The rehearsal also provided an opportunity to identify operational gaps and areas requiring improvement, enabling participating agencies to further enhance their readiness and ensure a coordinated and timely response to any unforeseen situation.

J&K Police remains committed to strengthening preparedness through joint exercises and coordinated response mechanisms in close collaboration with all stakeholders.
