Budgam : Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Vivek Agarwal, Friday chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of the PM Surya GharMuft Bijli Yojana and Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the district.
The ADDC reviewed consumer enrolment, application processing, vendor selection, rooftop solar installations, inspections and subsidy disbursement under PM Surya Ghar. While significant progress has been achieved, he expressed concern over the gap between vendor selection and actual installations.
He directed empanelled vendors to clear pending cases on priority and asked KPDCL officers to undertake weekly monitoring, ensure timely inspections and expedite net-metering to facilitate speedy subsidy disbursement.
Under RDSS, the meeting reviewed feeder segregation, conductor replacement, LT line reconductoring, installation of poles and distribution transformers, and smart metering.
The ADDC directed officers to accelerate ongoing works and complete the remaining projects within stipulated timelines.
He also stressed close coordination among KPDCL, JAKEDA, financial institutions and empanelled vendors to resolve pending issues, facilitate consumer financing and achieve 100 percent saturation under both schemes.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Budgam, Javed Ahmad, Executive Engineer KPDCL Budgam, concerned officers and representatives of empanelled solar agencies.
