Srinagar | September, 11: A 40-year-old man was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in an apple orchard in the Sedow area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday, sources said.
The victim, identified as Sadiq Ahmad Thokar, son of Abdul Rahman and a resident of Sedow, was working in the orchard when the animal attacked him. Locals rushed to his rescue and shifted him to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Shopian for treatment, while local authorities have taken formal cognizance of the incident.
