DC Poonch Reviews Agricultural Schemes Progress Under HADP & JKCIP Evaluated

Poonch :  Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the progress and implementation of projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Jammu & Kashmir Competitive Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Projects (JKCIP) in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of various ongoing initiatives and projects being implemented under HADP and JKCIP across the agriculture and allied sectors. He sought detailed feedback from the concerned departments regarding achievements, progress and issues affecting timely implementation. The DC stressed upon the officers to ensure effective and timely implementation of all approved projects, with close inter-departmental coordination. He directed the concerned departments to expedite ongoing works and ensure that the benefits of these programmes reach farmers and other stakeholders at the grassroots level. He also emphasized the importance of proper monitoring, field-level implementation and convergence among the departments involved in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, sheep husbandry, fisheries and other allied sectors.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned officers to maintain close coordination and regularly review the progress of the projects so that the objectives of HADP and JKCIP are achieved within the stipulated timelines.
