Uri, September 5: The Indian Army, under the aegis of Pir Panjal Brigade of Dagger Division, organised a Teachers’ Day programme at Churunda Middle School in Uri on Friday to recognise the contribution of teachers towards the education and development of students.
The programme commenced with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony attended by teachers and students.
Students presented cultural performances, including dances, songs, a skit and speeches, expressing their appreciation for their teachers.
As part of the programme, gifts and prizes were presented to students from each class up to Class VIII for their performance. Teachers were also felicitated with gifts by the Company Commander in recognition of their contribution to education.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the teachers, who appreciated the initiative and the support extended by the Indian Army.
