Srinagar, September 6: The prolonged water shortage in Panzinara, Srinagar, has been resolved following prompt intervention by MLA Central Shalteng, Tariq Hameed Karra, bringing relief to residents who had been facing acute scarcity for several days.
The issue came to public attention after residents shared a video appeal highlighting the difficulties caused by the disruption in water supply. Taking cognisance of the matter, MLA Tariq Hameed Karra intervened with the concerned authorities and took up the issue with the Chief Engineer, PHE Kashmir, resulting in the restoration of water supply within hours.
Residents appreciated the MLA’s prompt response and efforts to address the issue on priority.
Local resident Muhammad Yaseen Malik said the intervention came as a major relief for the affected population, adding that the MLA personally followed up the matter with the concerned authorities.
Residents also acknowledged the role of Dr. Waleed Karra, Incharge Central Shalteng Constituency, who coordinated with the XEN Master Plan to facilitate speedy restoration of the water supply.
With water supply now restored, residents have expressed gratitude to MLA Tariq Hameed Karra and his team while urging the administration to undertake permanent measures to prevent similar disruptions in the future.
