Anantnag : A man sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a wild bear in an apple orchard at Mirmadan village in the Dooru area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Witnesses said the wild animal ambushed the victim while he was working in the orchard premises.
The injured individual, identified as Mohd Maqbool Bhat of Mirmadan, was immediately rushed by locals to Sub-District Hospital Dooru. Given the extent of his injuries, attending doctors referred him to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for specialized treatment, while local wildlife authorities were alerted to the incident.
