Srinagar : Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma Wednesday chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of Mission YUVA in sub-division Billawar.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of applications under Mission YUVA and took detailed feedback from the concerned officials, motivators and YuvaDoots regarding the number of applicants, processing of cases and status of loan disbursement.
The DC stressed upon the YuvaDoots and field functionaries to intensify their outreach efforts and motivate maximum number of eligible persons for availing the benefits of the Mission. He directed them to provide necessary guidance and handholding to aspirants at every stage and ensure that the cases are fast tracked for sanction of loan amount.
The Deputy Commissioner also impressed upon the representatives from the banks to ensure speedy processing and disbursement of sanctioned loan amounts to enable young entrepreneurs to start their ventures without unnecessary delay. He called for close coordination between the field functionaries and banking institutions to resolve bottlenecks, if any.
The DC emphasized that effective implementation of Mission YUVA would play an important role in promoting self-employment, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood opportunities among the youth.
The meeting was attended by ADC BillawarVishavjeet Singh, CPO Kathua Ranjeet Thakur, Tehsildar Billawar Surinder Singh, BDO BillawarShailender Kumar, SDAO Billawar Ravi Kumar, besides motivators and YuvaDoots associated with Mission YUVA.
