Bhaderwah : Government Degree College (GDC) BhaderwahWednesday inaugurated a two-day international conference on “Multidisciplinary Approach in Current Educational Research and Transformative Learning for Sustainable Development,” bringing together academicians, researchers, educators, students, representatives of religious organisations and members of civil society to deliberate on emerging challenges and opportunities in education and sustainable development.
The conference has been organised by the College management in collaboration with the Indian Benevolent Research Foundation (IBRF), Kolkata and CIU, New Delhi, with financial support from JKHEID and JKSTIC.
The inaugural proceedings were attended by the College Principal Prof. Basharat Iqbal; ASP Vinod Kumar and Principal, Government Degree College Khilotran, besides faculty members, researchers, students and other participants.
The Conference offered a multidisciplinary platform for exchanging research findings, academic perspectives and innovative ideas on contemporary educational practices. The deliberations focused on emerging trends in educational research and the potential of transformative learning to address present-day challenges in the education sector.
The participants are also discussing multidisciplinary approaches to sustainable development, with emphasis on strengthening education as a tool for social transformation and inclusive development.
A key objective of the conference was to facilitate meaningful interaction among scholars and participants from diverse academic and social backgrounds and explore practical pathways towards transformative learning and a sustainable future.
The participation of civil society and representatives from religious organisations added an important social dimension to the academic deliberations, highlighting the significance of collective efforts in addressing educational and developmental challenges.
