Kite flying ‘manjha’ takes ex-soldier’s life in Jammu outskirts

Jammu, Aug 31 (UNI) An ex-servicemen suffered a fatal injury when his throat was slit due to kite ‘manjha’ on Ring Road in Bishnah area here in the city outskirts.

Police said that a retired army man, namely Lakhvinder Singh of Dewangarh, R S Pura, suffered a critical throat injury due to banned Chinese ‘manjha’ while he was moving on a two-wheeler near Bishnah area.

Police said that he was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead.
The police have taken cognizance and started the investigation.

Chinese ‘manjha’ or nylon kite flying string has been banned by the administration in Jammu and Kashmir, and action was taken against its illegal sale.
