Reject Traditional Exploitation: Altaf Bukhari to Shehr-e-Khas People
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsappTelegramEmail

Srinagar : In a passionate pitch to the residents of Srinagar’s Shehr-e-Khaas, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari urged the public to break free from decades of traditional political exploitation and assert their democratic rights. Addressing a well-attended workers’ convention in Habba Kadal, Bukhari launched a scathing attack on the National Conference, blaming its legacy for the city’s severe developmental deficit, rampant youth unemployment, and damaged natural infrastructure like the historic Nallah Mar canal. Bemoaning the lack of basic amenities, housing, and the dilution of urban employment avenues, he made a heartfelt plea for communal harmony, stating, “I urge my Kashmiri Pandit brethren to return so that, together, we can rediscover the past glory of our beautiful shared culture and work towards restoring peace, prosperity, and harmony.”

Echoing these concerns, Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir highlighted the systemic administrative hurdles plaguing Srinagar, including rigid construction restrictions by municipal authorities and crippling delays in job and passport verifications for youth. Mir criticized the governance apparatus for failing the mandate of the electorate, asserting that “inadequate housing, limited livelihood opportunities, and chronic developmental deficit are main issues confronting Srinagar’s people.” Rallying the public ahead of future Urban Local Body (ULB) elections, party leaders urged voters to break family-led political dynasties by supporting the Apni Party’s vision for sustained development, job creation, and economic revitalization across Jammu and Kashmir.
