Residential House Acquired Through Proceeds Of Drug Trafficking Attached In Shopian: Police

Shopian : Police on Sunday said that it has attached a residential house valued at ₹16,77,448 in Shopian, which was allegedly built using the proceeds of drug trafficking.

In a statement issued here on Sunday  Police said that a residential property belonging to one Hilal Ahmad Dar S/O Gh Ahmad Dar R/O  Vehil, Shopian, has been attached by it in connection with FIR No. 80/2024 of Police Station Shopian after it was identified as an asset acquired through illicit drug trade.

Police in its statement further said  that the attachment proceedings were executed seamlessly with full transparency and legal compliance in the presence of a dedicated police team, an Executive Magistrate, the local Lambardar, and the Chowkidar. Reiterating its resolve to eradicate the drug menace by seizing illicit financial assets Police in its statement appealed people to report any information related to narcotics trafficking.
