Pattan, Aug 30: A free eye check-up camp was organised at Shirpora, Pattan, by Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals in collaboration with Anjuman Al Himayat Foundation, drawing hundreds of participants from Shirpora and adjoining areas.
The camp provided free eye screening and consultation to the people, with patients being examined by a team of eye-care professionals. The initiative aimed to promote awareness about eye health and facilitate timely detection and treatment of vision-related problems.
A free ambulance service was also made available by Anjuman Al Himayat Foundation and Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals for the convenience of patients attending the camp. The service helped elderly and other patients reach the camp and access further medical care whenever required.
Local residents appreciated the initiative, describing it as a useful effort to make essential healthcare services more accessible to people in the area.
The organisers said such outreach programmes help spread awareness about eye care and encourage people to undergo regular eye check-ups.
