Srinagar: Director General Jammu & Kashmir Police Nalin Prabhat on Tuesday chaired a security review meeting at PCR Kashmir to assess and strengthen security arrangements for upcoming events across the Union Territory, including Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) , the Friday following Eid Milad-un-Nabi, and Raksha Bandhan. The meeting was attended by senior officers including Spl DGP Coordination J&K, IGP Kashmir Zone, IGP Jammu Zone, Range DIGs, district SSPs/PDs, and SSP PCR Kashmir. Detailed discussions focused on deployment strategies, crowd management, and traffic regulations.
Addressing the meeting DGP directed heightened vigilance, particularly at major religious sites like Dargah Hazratbal, directing officers to ensure foolproof security, enhanced surveillance, and proper traffic management. Advance security measures were also instructed for markets and temples ahead of Raksha Bandhan to ensure the peaceful conduct of all forthcoming events.
