Ganderbal Aug 25: A man was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in Watalbagh village of Lar area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday.
The injured was identified as Mohd. Maqbool Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Watalbagh, Lar.
Following the attack, Maqbool Bhat was immediately shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal for medical treatment. His condition was not immediately known.
The incident has caused concern among residents of the area, who have urged the authorities concerned to take necessary measures to prevent further human-wildlife conflict and ensure the safety of people living in the vicinity.
