Srinagar: Militant outfit Al-Umar Mujahideen has called for a complete shutdown on Jan 26 and has asked people of Kashmir to observe the day as ‘Black Day.’
In a tele-statement to local news gathering agency CNS, Mushtaq Zargar, chief commander of Al-Umar Mujahideen said that India has snatched freedom from Kashmiris, “so the people should observe complete shutdown on Jan 26 and celebrate the day as black day.” He asked people to shut all business establishments on the day.
He also asked parents to stop their wards from participating in January 26 official functions.
Zargar added that the lasting solution of Kashmir issue was possible only under UN resolutions. He said the UN resolutions declare Kashmir as a disputed territory and justify Kashmiris freedom struggle. “Till India won’t follow and implement the UN resolutions all the talks are futile. We will continue our fight for freedom till Indian forces are on Kashmir soil. Zargar said.
