Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir senior leader and MLA Bijbehara Dr. Syed Bashir Ahmad Veeri today laid the foundation stones for two important sports infrastructure projects at the historic Nilandrus Stadium in Bijbehara.
The projects will strengthen sports infrastructure in the area and provide better facilities and opportunities to local youth and budding sportspersons.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Veeri expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his continued focus on upgrading sports infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in Bijbehara.
He said that investment in sports infrastructure is an investment in the future of young people, enabling them to nurture their talent, pursue sporting ambitions and compete at higher levels. He appreciated the government’s efforts to develop and modernise sports facilities.
International cricketer Parvez Rasool was also present on the occasion. He commended Dr Veeri for his proactive approach in ensuring that youngsters have access to world class sports facilities.
