Baramulla : Police in Baramulla intensified their drive against the cultivation and spread of wild bhang, destroying cannabis plants during an operation in Gohan village under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chandoosa.
The drive was conducted by police personnel from Police Station Chandoosa in coordination with the escort and guard party of Minority Guard Gohan.
During the operation, wild bhang plants growing in the area were identified and systematically destroyed on the spot, police said.
The operation was carried out smoothly and peacefully, with necessary action taken as per established procedure.
Police said the drive is part of its continued efforts to curb substance abuse and prevent the spread of narcotic substances in the region.
The police urged people to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in efforts to create a safer and drug-free environment.
