Local commercial stakeholders welcome the return of visitors to the Budgam destination after weather conditions stabilize.
Srinagar : Civil authorities in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district have reopened the Doodhpathri tourist destination after closing the resort last month due to heavy rainfall, flash flood hazards, and landslide risks along access routes.
The decision allows local vendors, pony operators, commercial drivers, and hospitality workers to restart operations. Expressing relief, local business operators told reporters here “We are happy that Doodhpathri has reopened. Tourism is our main source of livelihood, and the return of visitors will provide much-needed relief to local families.” With travel corridors clear, normal tourist traffic has resumed.
