BANDIPORA : Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Indu Kanwal Chib chaired the District Consultative Committee and District Level Review Committee meeting to review bank performance during the first quarter of FY 2026-27.
The DC directed banks to improve credit flow to Agriculture, MSME, Education and Housing sectors and strengthen Priority Sector Lending.
She laid particular emphasis on achieving 100 per cent Kisan Credit Card saturation, directing departments and financial institutions to cover the remaining more than 10,000 Farm Operating Families within the next two quarters.
The meeting also reviewed Mission YUVA and Social Security Schemes. J&K Bank was directed to expedite disbursements under Mission YUVA and increase fresh enrolments under social security schemes.
The DC also handed over a ₹2 lakh cheque to a beneficiary whose insurance claim was settled under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
