Srinagar: Director General Jammu & Kashmir Police Nalin Prabhat on Thursday chaired a high-level security review meeting at the Police Control Room Kashmir to finalize arrangements for the upcoming annual Kaunsarnag Yatra.
The meeting focused on reviewing existing security arrangements and strengthening the security framework in view of the upcoming Kounsarnag Yatra.
The meeting was attended by Spl. DG Coordination S.J.M Gillani, IGPs of Kashmir and Jammu Zones, range DIGs of SKR and UR, SSPs of Kulgam, Reasi, and PCR Kashmir, along with senior military commanders from the 33RR, 58RR, and 14 Sector RR.
Officers briefed the DGP on the ground preparedness and security layouts. Prabhat emphasized the need for enhanced inter-agency coordination, seamless communication, and high alert levels along the entire Yatra route. Underscoring that the safety of pilgrims remains a top priority, the DGP directed officers to execute meticulous planning to ensure a peaceful and smooth pilgrimage.
