MVD Rajouri Checks 215 Vehicles, Collects ₹1.69 Lakh In Fines

Rajouri : The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Rajouri on Tuesday conducted an extensive enforcement drive on different routes of the district under the supervision of the ARTO.

During the drive, the MVD team checked 215 vehicles and issued 36 challans, imposing a total fine of ₹1,69,000. In addition, five vehicles were seized, while one driving licence was recommended for suspension for violation of the Motor Vehicles rules.

As part of continued action against traffic violations, two Registration Certificates (RCs) were also suspended on the recommendations received from District Police.

The enforcement drive was aimed at ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, promoting road safety and curbing violations on the roads of the district.

The enforcement team comprised MVI Lakhvinder Singh Chib, AMVI Nitin Singh and other officials of MVD Rajouri.
