B’pora   : District Administration Bandipora, in collaboration with the Department of School Education, Bandipora, organised the grand culmination of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign–2026 at SK Stadium, Bandipora, in connection with the 150 Years’ Commemoration of “Vande Mataram.”

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, presided over the programme as the Chief Guest. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 10,000 students along with teaching and non-teaching staff from educational institutions across the district. Despite the hot weather, the students participated with great enthusiasm, carrying the Tricolour and joining in various activities that reflected patriotism, national unity and pride in the nation. A major highlight of the programme was the creation of a giant Map of India by the students, who collectively formed and filled the map, presenting a striking visual expression of national unity and the spirit of Vande Mataram.

The initiative showcased the creativity, discipline, coordination and patriotic enthusiasm of the students and emerged as a special attraction of the event. Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the enthusiasm and spirit displayed by the students. She lauded the students for their remarkable presentation of the Map of India and said that such initiatives serve as a source of encouragement and inspire everyone to contribute more towards the nation. The DC also appreciated the efforts of teachers and educational institutions for facilitating the participation of students and nurturing in them the values of patriotism, unity and respect for the National Flag. The students participated with pride in the celebrations and joined in the singing of the National Anthem. The programme provided a meaningful platform for inculcating the values of patriotism, unity, integrity and responsible citizenship among the younger generation. The overwhelming participation of students and staff made the culmination programme a memorable celebration of the national spirit and the 150-year legacy of Vande Mataram.
