Srinagar : Minister SakeenaItoo hoisted the National Flag at the 80th Independence Day function at Shaheed HimayunMuzzamil Memorial Government Degree College, Khanabal, Anantnag, and took the salute at the ceremonial parade.
Paying tribute to freedom fighters and martyrs, Itoo highlighted government priorities in education, healthcare, infrastructure, employment and welfare. She urged youth to avail self-employment schemes and become entrepreneurs and job providers.
The celebrations featured patriotic and cultural performances by students. Employees, artists, sportspersons, social activists and others were felicitated for their contributions.
