Srinagar : Government departments and educational institutions across Kashmir also celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour.
At Government Polytechnic for Women, Srinagar, Director Skill Development Department Dr Owais Ahmad hoisted the National Flag and highlighted the importance of skill development in nation-building. Students also presented patriotic songs, while meritorious students were felicitated.
The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) celebrated the occasion at Sempora, Pampore. Director Mohd Younis Malik stressed the importance of entrepreneurship and self-employment in building a stronger economy and achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
At Government College of Education, Srinagar, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Seema Naz hoisted the National Flag and urged students to uphold constitutional values, unity in diversity and social responsibility.
Independence Day was also celebrated at GMS Moghalpura, where Headmaster Muhammad Rafi Bajar called upon students to cultivate patriotism, discipline, integrity and a spirit of service.
At the Central Administrative Tribunal, Srinagar Bench, Member (Judicial) M.S. Latief hoisted the National Flag and took the salute of police and CRPF contingents. He called for preserving national unity, constitutional values and the spirit of public service.
