Ramban : Ramban celebrated the 80th Independence Day at District Police Lines, where Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan hoisted the National Flag and took the salute at the ceremonial parade.
The parade featured J&K Police, CRPF, SSB, IRP, FPF, Home Guards, NCC and school contingents. Students also presented cultural performances.
The DC highlighted development works worth ₹40 crore completed under the previous District Capex Plan and ₹48.25 crore sanctioned for 2,146 works for 2026-27. He also highlighted progress in rural employment, roads, tunnels, healthcare, education and the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir campaign.
Similar celebrations were held at Banihal, Ramsoo, Gool and other parts of the district.
