Srinagar |Aug, 15: The J&K Waqf Board commemorated the 80th Independence Day in Srinagar, led by Chairperson Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, who unfurled the National Flag.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Andrabi recognized individuals from various sectors and outstanding Waqf Board employees for their significant contributions. Students from Waqf Board schools showcased a cultural program, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. In her address, Dr. Andrabi emphasized the Board’s reforms over the past four years, which include initiatives in digitization, enhanced asset management, infrastructure development, employee welfare, and increased transparency. She acknowledged the support of Imams, Khateebs, and officials for the Lieutenant Governor’s NashaMuktAbhiyaan and reaffirmed the Board’s dedication to modernizing Waqf administration and promoting public welfare.
