Srinagar : Kashmir Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) in Sempora commemorated the 80th Independence Day with a vibrant celebration attended by faculty, doctors, staff, and students.
The Managing Director, Tausif Ahmad, hoisted the national flag and emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and national heroes. He articulated that the responsibilities of citizenship extend beyond mere celebration, urging everyone to contribute to society through dedicated service and quality healthcare. Ahmad highlighted the pivotal role of medical education and healthcare in fostering a progressive society, calling for a commitment to values such as dedication, compassion, and integrity. He encouraged the KMCH community to actively participate in the nation’s development and uphold the principles of responsible citizenship. Principal/Dean Prof. Nazir Ahmad Khan echoed these sentiments, expressing gratitude for the sacrifices of national heroes and underscoring the need to instill values of patriotism and social responsibility in the youth, who are essential for the nation’s future. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets, reinforcing the spirit of unity and celebration.
