Poonch : Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs Javed Ahmed Rana visited Qazi Mohra and Jhulas to assess issues arising from recent flash floods and landslides.
Residents apprised the Minister of damage to roads, water supply and irrigation infrastructure and sought early restoration of essential services.
At Jhulas, residents also raised issues related to drinking water, restoration of water schemes and implementation of the Forest Rights Act.
Rana assured residents that the issues would be taken up with concerned departments for time-bound action. He said restoration of essential infrastructure and assistance to affected families remain among the government’s priorities.
