Police Solves Theft Case In Baramulla, 2 Accused arrested

Baramulla, August 15: Police in Baramulla have solved a house theft case in Chandoosa with the arrest of two accused persons and recovery of 53 stolen copper utensils.

A Police spokesperson said, On August 9, 2026, Police Station Chandoosa received a complaint regarding theft of copper utensils from a house at Nilsar. Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law was registered at police station and investigation was initiated.

During investigation, accused Isaaq Aziz Khan son of Abdul Aziz Khan resident of Nilsar, was questioned and disclosed his involvement in the theft. On his disclosure, stolen property was recovered from concealed land at Nilsar in the presence of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Wagoora and independent witnesses. The recovered property includes 53 copper utensils.

Further investigation revealed the involvement of another accused identified as Syed Aqib Shah son of Mohammad Amin Shah resident of Takiya Yousuf Shah. Both the accused have been arrested, while further investigation is underway.

Police reiterate their commitment to safeguarding the property and safety of citizens and assure that every effort is being made to ensure prompt investigation and strict action against those involved in criminal activities.
