PG admission process completed at the Institute
Srinagar : The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar officially commenced its undergraduate admission process on Thursday, with nearly 90 candidates completing their formalities for the Civil Engineering programme on the opening day.
The institute established a comprehensive single-window setup under the guidance of Director Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia and Dean Academic Affairs Prof. B.A. Mir. Highlighting the coordinated effort across administrative, security, and medical teams, Prof. Mir noted, “Our teams are working tirelessly from 8: 30 AM to 6:30 PM to ensure a hassle-free experience for students and parents. The process has been streamlined so that all necessary facilities and services are available under one roof,” he said.
Following the recent completion of postgraduate admissions—where 194 candidates were selected across various disciplines—the undergraduate drive earned high praise from parents traveling from across the country. Expressing satisfaction with the systematic arrangements, Rajesh Kumar, a parent from Punjab, shared, “From verification of documents to the final admission formalities, everything was handled efficiently. The staff members were helpful and guided us at every stage,” he said. Parents Gomti Aggarwal from Hyderabad and Ram Seni from Rajasthan similarly commended the helpful staff and centralized setup for eliminating delays, as admissions continue over the coming days.
