Pulwama : J&K Police on Wednesday inaugurated a boys’ volleyball tournament at Government High School Tahab in Pulwama under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026-27.
Eight teams from different parts of the district are participating in the tournament. The opening match between Star Volleyball Club Pulwama and Volleyball Club Rakh Litter witnessed enthusiastic participation and spirited competition.
Addl. SP Pulwama and DySP DAR attended the inaugural event and interacted with the players. They encouraged the youth to participate in sports, emphasising the role of sporting activities in promoting discipline, teamwork and overall development.
J&K Police said it would continue to undertake initiatives aimed at promoting sports, engaging youth and strengthening police-public relations under the Civic Action Programme.
