Anantnag : DIG South Kashmir Range Javid Iqbal Matoo on Wednesday chired a high-level security assessment meeting at the District Police Office in Anantnag to review operational readiness ahead of Independence Day. The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Army, CAPFs, and district SSPs from across the South Kashmir Range.
The DIG evaluated current security grids, area domination strategies, surveillance mechanisms, and the protection of vital installations. Addressing the meeting he directed officers to remain on high alert, emphasizing therein the necessity of proactive patrolling, strict naka checking, and rapid-response capabilities to counter any security challenges.
