Ganderbal : The Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) organized on Wednesday a Tiranga Rally and Plantation Drive as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign at its Tulmulla Campus.
The event saw participation from various university officials, including the Vice Chancellor, Deans, faculty members, administrative staff, scholars, and students, all of whom carried the national flag while marching to emphasize their commitment to unity, integrity, and national development. Vice Chancellor Prof. A. Ravinder Nath emphasized that the campaign serves as a reminder of the values represented by the Tricolour, such as unity, courage, and sacrifice, while also promoting inclusive national development. Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Shahid Rasool, noted that such initiatives allow students to engage with the nation’s history and values, translating them into actionable commitments. Registrar Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir underscored the importance of collective participation in fostering national unity, reflecting the university community’s strong sense of belonging. Deans Prof. Farooq Ahmad Mir and Prof. Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani remarked that student involvement in the campaign symbolizes the continuation of the legacy of freedom fighters and the vision for a united and progressive India.
