Bakshi Stadium prepares for grand August 15 event following ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally on August 12.

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg has extended a warm invitation to the public, particularly youth and children, to actively participate in the upcoming national celebrations across the Union Territory. Reviewing preparations for the main August 15 event at Bakshi Stadium, Garg stated, “Like every year, the UT-level August 15 event is being organised in Srinagar at Bakshi Stadium. Various arrangements are underway, including parade contingents, the cultural programme for the day and illumination of buildings in the tricolour theme,” Security measures and parade rehearsals are actively underway, with Garg adding, “Rehearsals involving our children and contingents of the forces are also taking place at Bakshi Stadium,” Ahead of Independence Day, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah are expected to lead a vibrant ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally on August 12 starting at 7:00 AM from SKICC towards the Botanical Garden. “All people, especially youth, are invited to attend the national-level events and participate in large numbers,” the Divisional Commissioner urged.
