Srinagar : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday met former President of Municipal Council Baramulla, Omar Kakroo, and a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir (CCIK), which called on him separately and raised a range of development, business and infrastructure-related issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, Omar Kakroo projected several development issues related to Baramulla, including the maintenance of the National Highway stretch from Khanpora to Kanganpora, operationalisation of the Bagh-e-Islam Health Centre, establishment of a youth hostel, creation of a synthetic hockey astro turf and augmentation of facilities at the Azad Gunj Astro Football Turf.
In a separate meeting, a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir (CCIK), led by its Convener Umar Jan Wani, discussed various issues concerning the promotion of business, industry, tourism and trade in Jammu and Kashmir. The delegation highlighted matters aimed at improving the business environment and boosting economic growth in the Union Territory.
The Lieutenant Governor assured both delegations that the issues projected by them would be examined for appropriate action.
